Last year MHT provided free or low cost in-school and after-school classes and workshops to 42 different schools. Some of these classes target at-risk students who are having difficulties in school. Drama classes have been proven to help improve teamwork skills, anger management, and raise self esteem. Participation in after-school drama has motivated more than one young student to improve their classroom attendance and conduct. Theatre is a powerful motivator! It's fun, it's creative and it arms young students with essential skills to excel in school and eventually, in the working world. MHT staff is able to assist schools in enriching the lives of thousands of school children..because people like you made an investment in Market House Theatre.
